At Sable Haven Horses, our mission is to provide expert rehabilitation, thoughtful retraining, and responsible placement of retired Thoroughbred racehorses into caring, qualified homes.
We are dedicated to guiding these exceptional athletes through their transition with the specialized care and professional training they need to thrive in a new chapter of life — whether in the show ring, on the trail, or as a cherished companion.
Since our founding in 2005, we have proudly placed over 1,900 retired Thoroughbreds and horses in need with adopters across the country, helping each one find purpose, partnership, and a forever home.

About Us
At Sable Haven Horses, we specialize in helping retiring racehorses make a smooth and meaningful transition into fulfilling second careers. When a horse’s time on the track comes to a close, we step in to provide the rehabilitation, retraining, and care needed to prepare them for life beyond racing.
Since our beginnings, we’ve remained devoted to rehoming Thoroughbreds with qualified and compassionate adopters who can offer them a fresh start — whether as sport horses, companions, or family partners.
We currently have horses available all over the United States. We’ve earned our Platinum Seal of Transparency with @CandidDotOrg!
