Sir is exactly what his name suggests — a real gentleman. With a kind eye and a willing heart, he’s eager to learn and ready to bond with a dedicated partner who can bring out the best in him.
He leads calmly with a standard halter and lead rope and behaves politely on the ground. Grooming is one of his favorite activities — he picks up his feet with ease, stands quietly for tacking in his stall or when tied, and happily soaks up warm bubble baths in the crossties.
In terms of care, Sir is currently wearing steel front shoes and stands respectfully for the farrier. He has no stable vices and is easy to handle in both the barn and the pasture.
Under saddle, Sir is a talented young prospect. With three naturally balanced gaits and a desire to learn, he is best suited for an advanced amateur or professional looking to develop a horse with long-term potential. He is responsive, athletic, and ready to move forward with a thoughtful training plan.
Sir is turned out in a group of geldings and fits in well, displaying a low to mid-level dominance in the herd. He enjoys the social interaction and has settled comfortably into a routine.
Having retired sound from racing, Sir has enjoyed his turnout and rest and is now ready to begin his next chapter. With his build, attitude, and soundness, we believe he could excel in a variety of moderate to high-impact disciplines — including hunter/jumper or low-level eventing.
