Peter has been home for a week now and we know he will be here for life. He has been everything we expected and more. He is kind, sensible, quirky, and adorable.
With Apollo, I just had a really, really good feeling about him. I loved him on our first meeting, and I fall more in love with him every day.
There is no replacement in life to grooming him and spending time with him or doing groundwork with him. When our daughter rides him, she is so happy and they they work so well together.
I started interacting with her and had an overwhelming feeling she had picked me and was my heart horse. I spent sleepless nights thinking about her and what I should do. I came to the conclusion if I didn’t adopt her I would always regret it.
Just recently we competed at our first gymkhana and I didn’t stop smiling the entire day. We placed in 3 events! I was so proud of her! She’s the perfect horse for me because she really can be an all-around horse.
He has helped me enjoy small victories and learn to see the small details in a big picture. I would not be half the horse person I am today if it weren’t for my horse.
I believe, he has helped keep my leukemia in molecular remission for the years I’ve had him in my life. I’m beyond grateful for my #RightHorse! I look forward to watching my Ted blossom into the amazing horse that he is.
I felt like we were riding into the NFR finals when we rode into that arena. We were both a bit too excited, but she held it together and we had a super time. And we placed! Most of the other competitors were just like me and everyone was sharing stories about their rescues.
We did our pattern and all I can remember is stopping and backing at that final cone and holding my tears back. It was the best pattern I have ever had. He was an absolute all-star and I was so excited that all our hard work had shown.
I am just in awe with this horse. My life has gone in a positive direction since we adopted this guy. We are incredibly grateful for him and everyone involved in his rescue and re-purpose.
As I turned 70, I decided it was time to get another horse and teach some youngsters the joy of horses. I looked for a bit before I came across Cookie (named because she’s so sweet)
I have been riding for five years now and I have been to multiple lesson barns. The latest one I went to had a horse named Peyote. He was being used by my trainer, but his actual owner also owned the barn.
My husband and I imported Zabarajad from Ireland in 2012. He is an extremely well-bred and well-built horse. By age two, he was famous and expectations in Ireland were very high. He raced in Ireland and Dubai.
I went and visited the kill pen site after much prayer and wanting of that childhood dream. I saw J.R. and he kept coming up despite the number of horses on the site.
When my pony was sold after being deemed “dangerous,” my heart was broken. After buying my old quarter horse, my family stumbled upon Shadoh, a timid, little Arabian.
